Corporate Recruiter

Responsible for talent acquisition and recruitment for regular, temporary, full-time or part-time staffing for positions within our company. This position is an integral part of A-C Electric Company’s Talent and Organizational Development Team.

  1. Maintain and develop a pipeline of eligible candidates for future open positions
  2. Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  3. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  4. Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  5. Manages job postings and announcements, applicant correspondence, employee resumes, employment application forms, scheduling interviews, etc.
  6. Be proactive in networking, cold calling, and “deep diving” into passive candidate networks throughout various markets.
  7. Screens applications and selects qualified candidates based on interview feedback, assessment results, and resume review.
  8. Preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  9. Maintains applicant files in line with company policies and government regulations. Retains records in line with company record retention requirements. Considerable filing, faxing, copying, distribution of materials, etc.
  10. Collaborates with the hiring manager and Director of Talent during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives start dates, and other pertinent details.
  11. Handles confidential information in a professional manner, respecting employee privacy while maintaining company confidentiality. Interacts with various levels of management, employees, applicants, and vendors.
  12. Serve as the contact person for questions from candidates
  13. Meet weekly quotas related to calls and emails
  14. Assist with new hire onboarding and to-work transition
  15. Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions. Partners with select colleges to develop feeder program for potential interns and new hires.
  16. Develop relationships and create new relationships with recruiting contacts in the community.
  17. Identify opportunities and work to improve the quality and efficiency of the recruitment process and practices.
  18. Participate in recruiting and talent management related and additional HR projects/initiatives.
  19. Ensure all requisition/candidate activity data is captured in the applicant tracking system.
  20. Participate in Talent Acquisition operational duties such as training and monitoring of ATS system, actively participates in audits, reporting, analysis of data, refining standard operating procedures, and social media and marketing strategies.
  21. Some travel expected.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • At least three years of experience in all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Experience with an HRIS and ATS database
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.



  • Strong active and passive candidate sourcing skills
  • High level of discretion and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential personnel matters and documentation
  • Strong organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills;
  • Attention to detail is a must; strong analytical skills favored
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
